day 21:
let’s compare modeling skills. dawn is good at it, i just end up laughing the entire time (as caught on camera).
last night we (dawn and i, plus my crew of boys sitting in the mezz) saw the genius lady gaga at radio city. my third time seeing the woman. good lord. she only gets better and better. it was a definite lady gaga experience that every fan should experience. i think you just need one of these shows to really get your fill, and see how freaking FABULOUS and fierce this woman is. just her wardrobe, good lord.
plus, she really is a good person. i say that to so many people who dont listen to her and more or less judge her based on her music or looks, but she means well. for example, on the 24th, every dollar from every ticket sale, merch purchase and online sales is going to straight to haiti. do you know how much money that is? hint: our tickets were $80 a piece. multiply that by AT LEAST 1000. then, her tshirts go for AT LEAST $35. multiply that by at least 1000. you get my point.
in addition, last night, she often bought up the sadness with haiti, and expressed her disbelief that so many people were “getting obliberated” while other people are dying all over the world. as if her care for strangers and the world wasnt enough, she is SUCH an advocate for LGBT youth and the community in general, which is right where i stand. during ‘boys boys boys’ (where i swear, i thought radio city was going to collapse from all the dancing!) she said ‘put your arms up! do it for your gay boys! do it for equality! gay marriage in 2010!’
i swear. id marry her if i could. a good night. spent with my fellow fairy godmother. where we were the most normal dressed. and the oldest ladies in our section. (i really felt very old the entire night, and had to take breaks from dancing to sit so i could relax my feet. i dont get how gaga does it in her heels. i may be sore today. that’s not a lie).
